Questions and Answers On the Raafidah Shi`ah Based upon Minhaaj us-Sunnah – Part 4
From “I`aanatul-Muhtaaj Min Kitaab il-Minhaaj” compiled by Shareef bin `Alee ar-Raajihee Trans. Abu `Iyaad Amjad Rafiq
All praise is due to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds and may the prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions. To proceed:
This is a serialisation of a small booklet compiled by Shareef bin `Alee ar-Raajihee which consists of extracts from Minhaaj as-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah of Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, and which presents the outstanding characteristics of the Raafidah in question and answer format. There are sixty-two questions in total.
This particular book of Shaykh ul-Islaam is one of the most important of the books of Ahl us-Sunnah in refutation of the madhaahib of the Raafidah Shi`ah, and they are also given other titles such as “Imaamiyyah”, “Ja`fariyyah”, “Ithnay `Ashariyyah” and they are all titles which point to the same reality, as the compiler has indicated.

I`aanatul-Muhtaaj Min Kitaab il-Minhaaj– Part 4

Shaykh ul-Islaam (rahimahullaah) said, “And for this reason Allaah has commanded us to say in our prayer, “Guide us to the Straight Path, the path of thoseupon whom you bestowed your favour, not that of those upon whom is your anger, nor those who are astray”. The straying person is the one who does not know the truth, like the Christians. And the one upon whom is anger is al-Ghaawee, the one who knows the truth but acts in opposition to it, like the Jews… and the Straight Path comprises knowing the truth and acting by it, just as occurs in the reported supplication, “O Allaah, show me the truth as truth and grant me success in following it, and show me falsehood as falsehood, and grant me success in avoiding it…” (Minhaaj 1/19)

Question 31 What has the madhhab of the Raafidah gathered together?
It has gathered together the greatest of the rejected innovations. For verily, they are Jahmiyyah, Qadariyyah, Raafidah.
Minhaaj (4/131)

Question 32 Does the madhhab of the Raafidah contain any contradictions?
Due to their ignorance and their lying, the Raafidah contradict clearly and often, for they are upon a variant saying (with respect to each other)…
Minhaaj (4/258)

Question 33 Do the Raafidah love `Alee (radiyAllaahu `anhu) truthfully and sincerely?
They are the greatest of people in hatred of `Alee (radiyAllaahu `anhu).
Minhaaj (4/296)

Question 34 What is their position towards the Mother of the Believers, `Aa’ishah (radiyAllaahu `anhaa)?
They accuse `Aa’ishah of grave matters, amongst them are those who accuse her of lewdness, that which Allaah exonerated her from and concerning which He revealed (something) from the Qur’aan.
Minhaaj (4/344)

Question 35 Is this action of theirs considered to be harming the Prophet (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam)?
It is known that from the greatest types of harms upon a person is that a man lie upon his wife and say, “She is a baghiy (whore)” 1
Minhaaj (4/345-346)

Question 36 Who is the one who innovated the madhhab of the Raafidah?
The one who innovated the madhhab of the Raafidah was a zindeeq (heretic), mulhid (atheist), enemy of the religion of Islaam and its people.
Minhaaj (4/363)

Question 37 What do they describe `Alee (radiyAllaahu `anhu) with?
The Raafidah contradict themselves, for they describe `Alee that he was an aider (naasir) of the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam), without whom he (the Messenger) would not have been able to establish the deen, and then they describe him (also) with incapacity, and lowliness which negates that (i.e. being an aider).
Minhaaj (4/485)

Question 38 The Raafidah make out the Sahaabah more evil than Iblees. So what is your reply?
Whoever made the Companions of Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam) more evil than Iblees, then he has not left any extremity in fabrication upon Allaah and His Messenger and the Believers, and (any extremity of) enmity upon the best of generations in this likes of this position. And Allaah aids His Messengers and those who believe in the life of the world and on the Day that the witnesses will stand forth.
Minhaaj (4/512)

Question 39 Will you describe their Shaykhs to us?
If one of them (their Shaykh’s) were to know that what he is saying is falsehood, but he proclaims it, and says, “it is the truth from Allaah”, then he is of the type of the Jewish Scholars who would write the book with their own hands and then say “this is from Allaah” in order to sell it for a small price, so woe be to them for what their hands have written and woe be to them for what they do earn. And if he believes it to be the truth, then that indicates the limits of his ignorance and misguidance.
Minhaaj (5/162)

Question 40 What is your saying concerning Abu Ja`far al-Baaqir, and Ja’far bin Muhammad as-Saadiq?
There is no doubt that they are from the chiefs of the Muslims, and the Imaams of the religion, and their sayings have the sanctity and status that is deserved by their likes, however, much of what is narrated about them is lies.
Minhaaj (45163)

Ref

"Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in God. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors."

Surah:3.Al-'Imran. Ayah:110
