MUST KNOW...THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NABI AND RASOOL

Post by tayyab60 » Mon May 14, 2012 8:42 am

DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN ISLAM A-O-A WRTB

there is a general understanding among muslims that nabi and rasool are one and the same thing, in fact these names are used as synonyms and some groups like qaudiyanies are exploiting this misconception to their advantage by claiming that mohammad saw is khatman nabie'en but not the khatman rasul...thats why they still have rasul as their leaders NAUZUBILAH.
in fact these are two totally different entities...it is fair to say that all rasul are nabies but its not true vice versa. there have been almost one hundred and twenty thousand nabies but out of them only three hundred and thirteen were rasul. rasul were nabies who were sent to specific nation(s) with a message of islam with a specific instrction/scripture or book from allah swt. their dawah mission was restricted to those groups of people only with the exception of mohammad saw, whose mission extended to the entire mankind. they were commanded by allah swt to go to those people by command " wa laqad arsalna...." and allah swt promised them safety and security by command" wallahu yasumuka minan nas"...that means they could not be killed by the people and thats why they challenged their nations to harm them if they wish to do so...THIS IS ANOTHER PROOF THAT JESUS PBUH WAS NOT KILLED ON THE CROSS. they clearly informed their people that they have been sent to them by the allah swt and warned them about the consequences of not obeying them. not a single rasool was killed by the people. where as nabies carried out their dawah missions generally any where any place any time and thousands of them were killed especially by the jews.
DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS these are small things but very important in the context of understanding our beautiful deen.may allah swt bless us and guide us always
ameen.
